Anthrax is an acute, infectious disease, caused by bacterium called Bacillus anthracis. Infection generally occurs when persons come in contact with anthrax-infected animals, or anthrax contaminated animal products.
Recently Anthrax received widespread attention because of its use as a biological warfare agent by both belligerent nation states and terrorists, here in the United States and overseas.
This online OSHA Bioterrorism Readiness and Response course on Anthrax Awareness is broken down into the following primary subject matter areas, or chapters:
What is anthrax?
Who is at risk of anthrax exposure?
If my company is at risk, how should we prepare for anthrax exposure?
If there is an anthrax threat at my place of work, what should I do?
Upon successful completion of our OSHA Anthrax Awareness course each student will have access to a printable certificate, and will be provided a wallet card.
