MSHA NEW MINER & NEWLY HIRED EXPERIENCED MINER
Below is a list of our MSHA Part 46 New Miner and our Part 48 New Miner training courses. To be MSHA compliant your company must have a training plan that is approved by MSHA and administered by a competent person. Your company can use any or all of our courses as part of that plan. Training can begin immediately anywhere there is an Internet connection. Upon successful completion the student will have immediate access to a printable certificate and wallet card.
Mining has long been considered one of the most dangerous occupations. Fortunately, advances in mine safety, technology, health legislation, and MSHA regulations training have significantly reduced the number of mining deaths and injuries.
New miner online training addresses the hazards of working at a mine, as well as hazards specific to surface and underground sites. MSHA new miner regulations require new miners complete a minimum of 24 hours of training within their first 90 days of employment, 4 hours which must be completed before starting work in a mine.
MSHA Part 46 new miner training applies to shell dredging, sand, gravel, surface stone, surface clay, colloidal phosphate, and surface limestone mines. This online certification course is designed for anyone who is a surface new miner or newly hired experienced miner.
The unique health and safety hazards of underground mining are addressed in MSHA Part 48 new miner training. Part 48 regulations cover the training requirements for an underground new miner or newly hired experienced miner who will work at coal mines, underground metal and non-metal mines, and surface areas of metal and non-metal mines.
